Zur is a 3-mana flyer that gives enchantment creatures you control deathtouch, lifelink and hexproof. For {1}{W}, a non-Aura enchantment you control becomes a creature with base power and toughness equal to its mana value. The deck fills the board with enchantments, turns the biggest ones into creatures and attacks. Deathtouch makes blocking bad, lifelink keeps your life high, and hexproof shields the animated threats from targeted removal.
In the recorded games, Zur's keywords made combat awkward for opponents. Blocks traded badly and lifelink stabilized the deck against aggression. Starfield of Nyx and Opalescence animated the whole board at once, and Sagas plus The Restoration of Eiganjo returned cheap permanents. Solitary Confinement protected the player in some games. The deck mostly played a slow, defensive game and won through attrition. Board wipes were the real problem, since hexproof does nothing against them and animated enchantments die like any creature. With 18 games, these patterns are reasonably consistent.
