Zirda makes the activated abilities you activate cost {2} less, as long as they still cost at least one mana. Mana abilities don't count. It also has {1}, {T}: target creature can't block this turn. That turns Basalt Monolith and Grim Monolith into infinite colorless mana, since their untap costs drop below what they make. Walking Ballista becomes a cheap outlet, and equip costs shrink too. Most builds are either fast combo decks or token and equipment decks.
In the recorded games, the most common line was a Monolith combo found with tutors like Oswald Fiddlebender, then a finish with Walking Ballista or a big Heliod, Sun-Crowned turn. Some lists used Godo, Bandit Warlord with Helm of the Host for extra combats. Others skipped combos and made tokens with Purphoros, God of the Forge and Cathars' Crusade. Infinite mana without a win outlet stalled at least once. Stax like Eidolon of Rhetoric and Aven Mindcensor held the combo back, and Cyclonic Rift slowed it but didn't stop Zirda for long.
