Wildsear, Scouring Maw
$0.58
$0.58Legendary Creature — Elemental Wolf
Gruul enchantment ramp that cascades off every enchantment cast from hand, then closes with burn and a 6/6 trampler.
Wildsear is a 6/6 trampler that gives cascade to enchantment spells you cast from your hand. Each one exiles cards from the top of your library until it hits a cheaper nonland card, which you cast for free. The deck plays plenty of ramp and enchantments at every mana value, so a five-mana enchantment can flip a four-drop, which can be anything in the deck. Since only the hand counts, cards cast from the top of the library or the graveyard don't cascade.
In the recorded games, the deck ramped hard early and then chained cascades into extra permanents. Finale of Devastation found Eidolon of Blossoms, which drew cards off each enchantment. Cindervines punished noncreature spells and helped a burn plan, and Etali, Primal Storm stole free spells from opponents' libraries. Some lists leaned on lands with Ramunap Excavator. Wildsear itself finished games with trample. When the cascades whiffed or the commander got removed, the deck had a lot of mana and little pressure.
