Venser has lifelink and toxic 1, so his combat damage also gives a poison counter. Whenever you proliferate, you choose one: create The Hollow Sentinel, a legendary 3/3 artifact Golem token, if you don't already control it, or give an artifact creature you control flying and lifelink until end of turn. The deck plays lots of proliferate so poison and other counters keep growing, and Venser's triggers keep adding to the board.
In the recorded games, Flux Channeler was the key card, proliferating with every noncreature spell. The deck mixed poison pressure with counterspells and removal, keeping a small board and adding a counter at a time. With only nine games logged, the evidence is limited. One thing stood out: proliferate is symmetric for opponents. In one game, an opponent's proliferate deck added to the poison counters Venser had already given out, which shifted the game in a way neither player fully controlled.
