Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign

$10.90

Sphinx spells you cast cost {2} less. Whenever Unesh or another Sphinx enters under your control, you reveal the top four cards, an opponent splits them into two piles, and you put one in your hand and the other in your graveyard. It's Fact or Fiction on a body, and with enough Sphinxes it happens almost every turn. The deck runs Sphinxes at every point on the curve, artifact ramp and ways to copy or reuse those enter triggers.

In the recorded games, the deck mostly played for card advantage. Consecrated Sphinx and repeat pile splits kept the hand full, and Mirage Mirror copying Unesh triggered the pile split again. Call to the Kindred and Fact or Fiction added more selection. Fliers then closed the game slowly. Weaknesses were real: slow starts when land drops stalled, and fast combo decks often killed the table before the Sphinx engine mattered. Recursion-heavy decks also ground through the board, and the opponent splitting the piles could keep the best card away from you.
