Tymna is a 2/2 lifelink for three. At the beginning of each of your postcombat main phases, you may pay X life, where X is the number of opponents dealt combat damage this turn, to draw X cards. In a four-player game that is up to three cards a turn, so the deck runs many small, evasive or hard-to-block creatures. She almost never plays alone. Partner adds a second color pair, and her job is to refill the hand of a combo deck while it holds interaction.

In the recorded games, Tymna was most often paired with Kraum, Ludevic's Opus for a four-color deck that won with Thassa's Oracle or Underworld Breach. Other pairings included Vial Smasher the Fierce, Dargo, the Shipwrecker with Burnt Offering for a fast kill, and Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa to make small attackers hard to block. Rhystic Study, Ad Nauseam and tutors were common. Tymna drew cards most turns because opponents rarely wanted to trade their commanders in combat. When the turbo plans failed, it was usually because of mulligans or hard counters on the combo turn, and stax slowed the attacks.
