Thraximundar is a 6/6 with haste. Whenever it attacks, the defending player sacrifices a creature of their choice, and whenever any player sacrifices a creature, you may put a +1/+1 counter on it. Edicts, sacrifice outlets and your own fodder all make it bigger, so it often kills a player with 21 commander damage. The deck pairs that with recursive creatures, edict effects and enough removal to clear blockers before the attacks start.
In the recorded games, the most common combo was Gravecrawler with Phyrexian Altar. Thraximundar is a Zombie, so Gravecrawler can be recast from the graveyard over and over, growing Thraximundar each time while Mayhem Devil pings the table. Other builds leaned on zombie recursion, Gisa, Glorious Resurrector, The Meathook Massacre or taxing cards like Painful Quandary. When those pieces were missing, the deck simply attacked, stripping a creature each swing. It costs seven mana, so a slow start or early removal set it back, and overextending into a board wipe was a real risk.
