Shiko and Narset, Unified

$0.31

Shiko and Narset is a flier with vigilance whose Flurry ability triggers on your second spell each turn. If that spell targets a permanent or player, you copy it and may pick new targets. If it doesn't copy anything, you draw a card instead. That means cheap removal and burn get doubled, while cantrips and non-targeting spells replace themselves. Since the trigger works on any turn, holding up an instant on opponents' turns gives you a second chance at value. The deck runs cheap instants and sorceries, rituals and prowess-style token makers.

In the recorded games, the deck almost always played as tempo control, casting a cheap cantrip followed by a targeted spell to get the copy. Howling Mine kept the hand full for both the pilot and the table. Faster builds chased bursts with Jeska's Will and Dragonstorm, while slower lists built small token boards from spell triggers and pecked away in the air. Its weak point was reaching critical mass, since targeted removal and early combat damage often stopped the late push before it arrived. It needs careful hand management to keep two spells available every turn.
