Sheoldred is a 4/5 deathtouch for four. Each time you draw a card you gain 2 life, and each time an opponent draws, they lose 2. Normal draw steps drain the table slowly, and anything that makes opponents draw extra cards turns into damage. Necropotence and other black card draw also pay for themselves. The deck surrounds her with removal, tutors and recursion, and uses symmetrical draw effects or forced draws to speed up the drain.
In the recorded games, Sheoldred played as a grinding control deck. Howling Mine and Temple Bell kept the draws coming, and every extra card cost opponents life. Necropotence and The One Ring refilled the hand, and Bloodchief Ascension, Mindcrank and Aetherflux Reservoir gave ways to close. Recursion brought Sheoldred back after removal, and Lightning Greaves protected her. Opponents usually targeted her right away, and exile on entry stopped the plan cold. Fast aggressive decks were the toughest matchup, along with combo decks that won before the drain added up.
