Whenever Sephiroth attacks, you may put a cell counter on a target creature. Until end of turn, every modified creature you control has base power and toughness 7/5, and equipment, auras and counters all count as modifications. A board of equipped 1/1 tokens becomes a row of 7/5 attackers. The Reunion lets you pay {3} and sacrifice a modified creature to return Sephiroth from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped. That makes removal and wraths much less damaging than usual.
In the recorded games, the deck played as straightforward Boros aggression. It handed out cell counters on each attack, stacked equipment on creatures and pushed big swings, once dealing 32 damage in a single attack with landfall and equipment help. The recursion kept Sephiroth coming back after board wipes, so opponents had to keep answering him. The deck looked strongest with a wide board and weakest when it lacked enough modified creatures to make the 7/5 boost matter.
