Rose Tyler

Rose Tyler is a two-mana 2/2 that gets +1/+1 for each time counter on her. Her Bad Wolf trigger fires when she attacks: she gets a time counter for each suspended card you own and each other permanent you control with a time counter. As a Doctor's companion she pairs with a Doctor, most often The Tenth Doctor, whose attack trigger suspends a card from your library with three time counters. Each Doctor attack feeds Rose, so the deck wants several suspended cards and time-counter permanents in play at once.

In the recorded games, Rose almost always showed up next to The Tenth Doctor in a Jeskai time-counter shell. Only nine games were recorded, so the picture is simple. The pair attacked together, the Doctor suspended a fresh card each combat, and Rose picked up a few more counters every turn. That made her a slow-building threat rather than an early one. Timing mattered, since suspended spells come off at set turns and Rose grows only while those counters are still on the board. She stays small without a stack of suspended cards, so cheap removal before she grows is the main problem.
