At the beginning of combat on your turn, Ria targets a creature. The next time it would deal combat damage to players this combat, that damage is prevented and you create that many 1/1 Phyrexian Mite artifact tokens with toxic 1 that can't block. Pick a big attacker and its damage becomes a pile of poison-dealing tokens. Battle cry gives each other attacker +1/+0, so Mites hit harder every turn. The deck runs pump, anthems and token support.
In the recorded games, Fallen Ideal on Ria was a key line: it gave flying, and sacrificing tokens pumped her, so the prevented damage made even more Mites. Feast of the Victorious Dead turned those sacrifices into counters, and Mentor of the Meek and Paladin Class kept cards and stats flowing. Norn's Annex slowed opponents' attacks back. The army grew faster than the table could handle in several games, with poison and regular damage both landing. Early removal like Path to Exile on a key creature set the deck back, and the Mites can't block, so it is weak on defense.
