Reaper King gives other Scarecrows +1/+1, and whenever another Scarecrow enters under your control, you destroy target permanent. Its hybrid {2/W} costs mean any mana can cast it, though the mana value is 10. Real Scarecrows are few, so the deck adds changelings and shapeshifters, token makers that produce them, and flicker effects to reuse enter triggers. Each creature drop then becomes a removal spell for any permanent.
In the recorded games, Metallic Mimic naming Scarecrow and Spark Double copying Reaper King were standout plays, the latter doubling every removal trigger. Pilots often ramped into Reaper King around turn four and used the triggers on key artifacts, enchantments and mana rocks. Some builds leaned on persist creatures like Murderous Redcap to recur shapeshifters and retrigger. Reaper King drew a lot of removal, and when it went down early the deck lost its main engine. It controlled the board well but often had no fast way to close the game.
