Questing Beast is a 4/4 for four with vigilance, deathtouch and haste, and creatures with power 2 or less can't block it. Combat damage from all your creatures can't be prevented, which blanks fogs and damage-prevention tricks. When the Beast hits an opponent, it deals the same damage to a planeswalker that player controls. The deck ramps with elves like Fyndhorn Elves, plays efficient green threats and uses equipment or pump to make every Beast attack count.

In the recorded games, the Beast usually came down early and attacked every turn, forcing slower value decks to spend their first turns on defense. Equipment pushed its damage up fast, and the planeswalker trigger punished tables leaning on walkers. One build even turned the deck's anti-prevention text against fog players. The weak points were clear, though. Sweepers like Toxic Deluge reset its board, cheap black removal such as Cut Down picked off the mana creatures, and counterspells stopped key equipment. Against toxic and proliferate decks it often lost the race. With only ten games, treat it as a straightforward beatdown plan.
