At the beginning of each combat, Odric checks your creatures: if any one has first strike, all of them gain it until end of turn. The same goes for flying, deathtouch, double strike, haste, hexproof, indestructible, lifelink, menace, reach, skulk, trample and vigilance. One flier and one lifelinker turn the whole team into flying lifelinkers. The deck plays creatures and equipment that carry many keywords, then attacks wide.
In the recorded games, cheap equipment like Bladed Pinions, Gorgon's Head and Loxodon Warhammer handed out keywords, and Danitha Capashen made equipping cheaper. Eater of Virtue stored keywords from dead creatures. One list gave everything indestructible and then cast destroy-based board wipes, keeping its own board while clearing everyone else's. Early swarms put real pressure on slower decks. Removal of the key keyword carriers broke the effect, and Heliod's Intervention clearing equipment set the deck back badly. Without those pieces, the creatures on their own were fairly small.
