Norman Osborn

$14.54

Norman Osborn is a two-drop that can't be blocked and connives whenever he deals combat damage, filtering your draws and growing when you discard nonland cards. For {1}{U}{B}{R} he flips into Green Goblin, a menace flyer that makes spells cast from your graveyard cost {2} less and gives every nonland card in your graveyard mayhem. Anything you discard that turn can be cast from the graveyard for its mana cost, minus the discount.

In the recorded games many lists played at high power, with Lion's Eye Diamond, Faithless Looting, Wheel of Fortune and Underworld Breach setting up Brain Freeze or other graveyard loops, and Demonic Tutor or Dark Petition finding the pieces. Slower builds used Mayhem Devil and treasure-making discard for grind, with Oscorp Industries as a land you can pitch and replay. Pilots stressed flipping to Green Goblin early, since the deck is much weaker without it. Games were usually fast and hinged on the graveyard staying intact.
