Magus Lucea Kane taps for {C}{C}, and the next spell with {X} in its cost or ability with {X} in its activation cost that turn gets copied, keeping the same X. A copied creature spell becomes a token. At the start of combat on your turn she also puts a +1/+1 counter on a target creature. The deck ramps hard and then casts X spells for double value, so Hydroid Krasis or a large token maker hits twice.
In the recorded games, Hydroid Krasis cast twice and Exocrine damaging the whole board were the standout moments. Open the Way and Lotus Cobra pushed mana, and Hardened Scales boosted counters. Some lists played landfall with Ruin Crab milling the table, while others built around Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker combos or Reshape tutoring artifacts. The Millennium Calendar even appeared as a slow alternate win. Board wipes took out the mill and creature plans, and counterspells like Flusterstorm or early discard broke up the setup turns. The deck needs a lot of mana before it does much.
