Lorehold gives every instant and sorcery in your hand miracle {2}. At the start of each opponent's upkeep, you may discard a card and draw one. That draw is your first of the turn, so if it is an instant or sorcery you can cast it right away for {2}, even an eight-mana sorcery, on the opponent's turn. You get several shots per round, and the 5/5 flying, hasty body adds pressure. Decks stack expensive spells and topdeck manipulation to make the miracles hit.

In the recorded games, the best results came from setting up the top of the library. Library of Leng let rummaged cards go back on top, and Monument to Endurance turned every discard into a card, a Treasure or 3 life lost for each opponent. Longshot, Rebel Bowman made spells cheaper and pinged the table for each one, and Soulfire Eruption cleared small creatures. Cursed Totem locked down creature abilities in some games. Strike It Rich and Land Tax kept mana flowing. Whiffs were the main problem: when draws missed, the deck had expensive cards stuck in hand and needed careful sequencing.
