Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery, Krark flips a coin. A win copies the spell, and a loss returns it to your hand, which is often fine with rituals and cheap cantrips because you can cast them again. The deck stacks extra triggers. Sakashima of a Thousand Faces can enter as a second Krark with the legend rule turned off, and Harmonic Prodigy doubles Krark's trigger since Krark is a Wizard. With several flips per spell, you usually get both a copy and the card back.

In the recorded games, Krark was almost always paired with Sakashima and played as a turbo storm deck. Fast mana, Gamble and copied tutors built the hand, and Tavern Scoundrel turned every won flip into two Treasures to pay for the next spell. Dockside Extortionist cloned with Twinflame was a common way to make a pile of mana, and Grapeshot closed most games. Copied interaction like Mental Misstep also swung key turns. The deck is fragile, though. Failed early flips slowed it down, Silence and other counters on the combo turn stopped it cold, and Cyclonic Rift on Krark reset the whole engine. Opponents usually treated it as the top threat from turn one.
