Koll returns any other nontoken creature you control to your hand when it dies, as long as it was enchanted or equipped. It also gives your equipped or enchanted creature tokens +1/+1. Pair that with Skullclamp on a zero-mana creature and each death draws two cards, the creature comes back to hand and you recast it for free. With cheap or free equip costs, that becomes a loop that draws your whole deck. A sacrifice effect such as Mask of Immolation turns the same loop into repeated damage to opponents.
In the recorded games, nearly every win went through the Skullclamp line. Stoneforge Mystic and other tutors found it early, and Sai of the Shinobi helped by attaching to creatures as they entered. Finishers included Mask of Immolation pings, Grapeshot and Aetherflux Reservoir. Dockside Extortionist and Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer added fast mana and early pressure, while Goblin Recruiter and Goblin Welder supported slower artifact lines. The deck was vulnerable to spell-limiting stax like Rule of Law, and an opponent's forced sacrifice broke up one combo turn.
