Kodama gives trample to every modified creature you control, meaning any creature with an Equipment, an Aura you control or a counter on it. Whenever one of those deals combat damage to a player, you search for a basic land and put it onto the battlefield tapped. So the deck wants cheap ways to modify creatures, then attacks to ramp while pressuring life totals. Extra lands then feed into landfall payoffs and bigger spells.
In the recorded games, the deck took early leads by ramping off attacks and growing its creatures. Sylvan Anthem added scry and size, and Auras like Boar Umbra and Canopy Cover turned Kodama or another creature into a protected, hard-to-block threat. Landfall effects added counters as Forests came in, which also kept every creature modified. The sample is only nine games, so treat these patterns as rough. When it lost, it was usually because opponents bounced or removed the main suited-up creature, which cost the deck its Auras and a lot of tempo.
