Kaust can tap to turn a face-down attacking creature you control face up. Whenever a creature that was turned face up this turn deals combat damage to a player, you draw a card. That means morph, disguise, manifest and cloak creatures attack as 2/2s, flip after blockers are declared without paying their unmorph costs, and replace themselves when they connect. The deck is built around face-down creatures, cost reducers for them and enough ramp to keep casting them.
In the recorded games, Kaust boards were full of face-down creatures that kept opponents guessing during combat. Obscuring Aether and Panoptic Projektor made the face-down spells cheaper, and Panoptic Projektor also doubles the flip triggers. Whisperwood Elemental added a free manifest every turn. Ramp like Nature's Lore and Inspiring Statuary helped the mana, and some lists ran Tesak, Judith's Hellhound to give haste. The plan was steady value from bluffing and card draw rather than a fast kill. Kaust himself is a fragile 2/2, so the engine depended on keeping him alive and getting attackers through.
