Kamiz triggers whenever you attack, not just when it attacks. One target attacking creature can't be blocked and connives: you draw, discard, and put a +1/+1 counter on it if you discarded a nonland card. Then another attacker with lower power gains double strike. You want at least two attackers every turn, so the deck runs cheap evasive creatures, ninjas and rogues that like connecting, and equipment that turns one unblocked hit into a lot of damage.
In the recorded games, Ledger Shredder and Prosperous Thief kept cards flowing alongside connive, and Curiosity rewarded every hit. The scariest line was equipment on the unblockable creature. Vorpal Sword and Grafted Exoskeleton both threatened to kill a player out of nowhere, and opponents had to answer them. Other games were a slower grind, with counters building up and a steady stream of cards from combat. Kamiz's 2/4 body is easy to kill, and blockers plus fight effects that removed counters slowed the deck down. Stax like Hushbringer and a board full of fliers made attacking much less rewarding.
