Jasmine Boreal of the Seven

Jasmine taps for {G}{W}, but that mana can only cast creature spells with no abilities. Her second line is the real payoff: your creatures with no abilities can't be blocked by creatures with abilities. Most Commander creatures have at least one ability, so a big vanilla body often walks through untouched. The deck plays efficient vanilla creatures and anthems, and face-down creatures count too, since a face-down 2/2 has no abilities.

In the recorded games, which were only a handful, the deck went wide with simple creatures and swung past blockers that had abilities. Enchantment buffs and Branching Evolution, which doubles +1/+1 counters, made those creatures large enough to matter. Most lists also kept a few creatures with abilities, like Dauntless Escort for indestructibility, accepting that those can be blocked normally. The weak spot was decks whose creatures buff each other and simply outgrew a pile of vanillas, and the deck has little to do when the creatures are wiped.
