Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty

$0.27

Imoti is a five-mana 3/1 with cascade, and she gives cascade to every spell you cast with mana value 6 or greater. The deck is full of expensive cards, so nearly every big spell brings a free spell with it, and cascade-heavy threats chain into more casts. The early turns are ramp, card draw and holding off attackers until the heavy spells arrive. Some lists run Keruga, the Macrosage as a companion, since the deck already avoids cheap cards.

In the recorded games, Imoti's best turns came from casting several big spells in a row, once more than a dozen spells in a single turn. Avatar of Growth and Apex Devastator, with its four cascade triggers, were typical starting points, and cascading into cards like Compulsive Research kept the hand full. Sublime Epiphany also got cascade and answered big threats from opponents. One player cut Temporal Mastery and Nexus of Fate to avoid long solo turns. The deck's weakness was its slow start: without much ramp, early turns were quiet, and it relied on the mid to late game to take over.
