When an instant or sorcery you control that targets only a single creature deals damage to it, Imodane deals that much damage to each opponent. So a Lightning Axe for 5 on a creature also deals 5 to every opponent. The deck is a pile of targeted burn that doubles as removal and reach, with damage multipliers to make each trigger count. Spells that hit more than one target, or that target players, do not trigger him.
In the recorded games, the deck played like a removal-heavy control list that chipped everyone down while clearing threats one at a time. Rending Volley and Lightning Axe showed up as cheap answers that also hurt the table, and Shivan Meteor came in through suspend. Lightning Greaves protected Imodane early, since the plan falls apart without him. The clearest win came from Dictate of the Twin Gods doubling a Seismic Strike, and City on Fire and Fiery Emancipation filled the same role. The deck needs creatures to target, so it was weaker against creature-light opponents and relied heavily on keeping Imodane alive.
