Ilharg is a 6/6 trampler. Whenever it attacks, you may put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield tapped and attacking, and it returns to your hand at the next end step. That means the same big creature can hit and use its enter trigger every turn without paying for it. If Ilharg dies or is exiled, you can put it third from the top of your library instead of the command zone, which saves on commander tax. The deck ramps hard and plays big creatures with enter or attack triggers.
In the recorded games, fast mana like Sol Ring and Fire Diamond got Ilharg out early, and the pressure forced opponents to react. Ignition Team showed up as an early huge threat with tapped lands. Helm of the Host on Ilharg made a hasty token copy each combat, which meant two attack triggers. Aggravated Assault gave extra combat phases for the finishing turn, and Blood Moon slowed down greedy mana bases. It won fast or not at all, and removal on Ilharg slowed it down even with the library trick.
