Ezuri gives you an experience counter whenever a creature with power 2 or less enters under your control. At the beginning of combat on your turn, you put X +1/+1 counters on another creature you control, where X is your experience count. Experience never goes away, so even if Ezuri dies the next copy picks up where it left off. The deck runs elves, mana dorks and other cheap creatures to build experience fast, then dumps the growing stack of counters onto an evasive or unblockable threat each turn.
In the recorded games, Ezuri decks were usually elf heavy, with Priest of Titania and Maraleaf Pixie ramping while adding experience. Champion of Lambholt and Beastmaster Ascension made attacks hard to block, and Cold-Eyed Selkie and Fathom Mage turned counters into cards. Hardened Scales boosted every trigger, and Craterhoof Behemoth or Genesis Wave ended several games. Inspiring Call saved boards from wipes while drawing cards. Board wipes were still the main problem, and one game showed how bouncing Fathom Mage reset the card draw. Missed land drops and stax pieces that kept creatures off the table slowed it down badly.
