Donal, Herald of Wings
$0.45
$0.45Legendary Creature — Human Wizard
Mono-blue flyers that copy one creature spell each turn into a 1/1 Spirit token and win by chipping away in the air.
Once per turn, when you cast a nonlegendary creature spell with flying, Donal lets you copy it. The copy is a token that keeps every ability of the original but is only a 1/1 Spirit. That makes enter-the-battlefield flyers the real payoff, since the copy still triggers. Mulldrifter, for example, draws two cards on the original and two more on the token. The deck fills out with cheap flyers, flash creatures, counterspells and anthem effects so the small Spirits still hit hard.
In the recorded games, Donal built a steady stream of evasive threats, and Heraldic Banner plus equipment turned a swarm of 1/1 tokens into real pressure. Flash creatures and counterspells let the deck play at instant speed and protect its board. It struggled when it fell behind, though. An enchantment-heavy Voltron opponent, built up with Armored Ascension and similar auras, killed it early, and targeted removal kept knocking out the flicker and equipment pieces before they paid off. With eight games recorded, expect a fair, slow-building flyers deck that needs a quiet start.
