Clara Oswald

Clara Oswald becomes the color you choose before the game if she is your commander. If a triggered ability of a Doctor you control triggers, it triggers an additional time. As a Doctor's companion, she pairs with a Doctor commander, and most of the deck is built around that Doctor's attack, cast or upkeep trigger. Clara just doubles it, so the best partners are Doctors with strong repeating triggers.

In the recorded games, Clara was mostly paired with The War Doctor and a few other Doctors, with the chosen color shaping the list. Builds ranged from creature-heavy decks with doubled triggers to counters, artifacts and graveyard value. The pairing let the Doctor's main trigger fire twice from the first attack or cast, which sped up the value or damage it produced. Only nine games were recorded, so it's hard to say how she stacks up against other companions. Her 2/6 body blocks well but rarely attacks. She does nothing alone, so removal on the paired Doctor shut the plan down until it was recast.
