Chromium is a 7-mana 7/7 flying Elder Dragon with flash that can't be countered. Its other ability is the protection plan: discard a card and, until end of turn, it becomes a 1/1 Human with hexproof that can't be blocked, losing its other abilities. That makes it hard to kill with targeted removal and lets it chip in when the skies are blocked. The deck around it plays like classic control, holding mana up for counterspells, removal and flash creatures, then dropping Chromium at the end of an opponent's turn once the table is under control.
In the recorded games, the deck spent most turns reacting. Opposition Agent and Notion Thief punished tutors and extra card draw, which slowed down combo and value decks noticeably. Counterspells and flash creatures let it punish attacks and keep the board in check, and Sword of Body and Mind showed up as an extra source of card advantage. Chromium usually arrived late as the finisher rather than an early threat. The weakness was speed: at 7 mana the commander takes a while, and the deck depends on its answers lining up with what opponents actually play.
