Bonny Pall, Clearcutter

$0.37

When Bonny Pall enters, you create Beau, a legendary blue Ox token whose power and toughness equal the number of lands you control. Whenever you attack, you draw a card and may put a land card from your hand or graveyard onto the battlefield. That is an extra card and an extra land every combat, and each land makes Beau one point bigger in both stats. The deck is built around ramp, landfall payoffs and ways to get lands back from the graveyard so the attack trigger never runs dry.

In the recorded games, fast mana like Sol Ring and Arcane Signet plus repeated land drops turned Beau into a major threat within a few turns, and the attack trigger kept the hand full. One list sacrificed Beau to Life's Legacy to draw cards equal to its power, a big refill once the land count was high. Extra turn spells also came up as a way to get more attack triggers. Slow starts were the main problem, though the land recursion helped the deck recover later on. Beau is one big body, so cheap removal like Pongify answered it cleanly and forced Bonny to rebuild.
