At the beginning of combat on your turn, Ardenn lets you attach any number of your Auras and Equipment to one target permanent or player. That skips every equip cost, so heavy cards like Colossus Hammer become cheap to use, and you can move everything to whichever creature has the best path to damage. Ardenn has partner, so most lists pair her with a second commander, and the deck is built around equipment, cheap evasive creatures and tutors.
In the recorded games, Sword of Fire and Ice and Sword of Hearth and Home moved onto Ardenn or an unblocked creature for big combat turns. Helm of the Host was a frequent payoff, making a new token copy each combat that could pick up the whole equipment pile. Some faster lists added Null Rod, Sanctum Prelate and Hushbringer to slow other decks. The plan fell apart when artifact removal or blockers stopped the one creature carrying everything, so the deck needed to protect its main attacker.
